Joshua and the Haven for the Hunted
"Throw away those idols and those foreign gods that you have, and give your hearts to the Lord, the God of Israel," Joahua commanded. Evie felt something fall on her foot. It rolled on to the ground. Quickly, Milkah, who was standing behind her mother, stamped on whatever it was. As she did so, there was a sound of breaking earthenware. Milkah trampled whatever it was into the ground. Evie, her mother, saw that it was Milkah's image of Astarte. She saw tears in Milkah's eyes, but a look of calm and resolve in her face. Evie clutched Milkah's hand, "Well done, my dear daughter!" Joshua demanded action, not words.
